Out of the Box MILAN

A huge THANK YOU to all that were able to attend the Out of the Box this year in Milan, Italy. Below is a quote from Chris Salierno (La Marzocco Srl):

“OOTB, which lasted two and a half days in Via Volterra 12 was a complete success.  La Marzocco drew about 1500 guests representing many countries around the world.  A special thanks to our four sponsors, Marcello Zanesi from Nuova Ricambi (our partner for spare parts), Mazzer grinders, Sarah Allen from Barista Magazine and our friends at Allegra Strategies.

Ok folks… it’s been way over a month since La Marzocco Out of the Box took the Bay Area by storm and, finally, here it is, a pictorial and cinematographical review of the event.

Mark your calendars because the Bay Area is the place to be in January 2011!

Satisfy your taste buds with the Good Food Awards (Jan 14-15) and eat the best in:

• Beer
• Charcuterie
• Cheese
• Chocolate
• Coffee
• Pickles
• Preserves

If you’re familiar with the Slow Foods event in SF a couple years ago, this is very similar. As the name suggests, Good Food Awards will award the best amongst all the leading names in specialty coffee as well as a number of quality newcomers. LM USA will be providing the equipment for the Friday awards event and the Saturday Marketplace.

On Jan 18-19, we will host the next Out of the Box at the Marsh in Berkeley, CA. If you’re familiar with the 2008 WRBC, this is the same place.

Out of the Box is designed to bring together the regional coffee community to learn & share coffee knowledge, showcase new products/services, and, of course, party! This will be an action packed, two day event, featuring not just La Marzocco, but many other leading names in all aspects of the coffee industry as well. Download the overview PDF here.

OUT OF THE BOX Japan

If you find yourself in Japan in the coming weeks….

Following previous editions in Dubai, Shanghai, Stockholm, New York and Oslo over the past several months, we’re looking forward next week to the success of La Marzocco Out of the Box in Japan, graciously organized by our partner, Lucky i Cremas, on the evening of Wednesday, September 22 at Aque Rium Odaiba from 6:30 to 9 pm.

In addition to presenting the history of La Marzocco to dedicated industry leaders within the Japanese market, our Plant Director and Manager of R&D, Roberto Bianchi, will officially launch the Strada MP, Strada EP and Vulcano grinders in Asia.

Roberto, together with the Lucky i Cremas staff, will also be on hand at the Specialty Coffee of Japan’s (SCAJ) annual exhibition at Big Sight, West Hall 3 in Tokyo, Booth 49 from September 22-24.

La Marzocco equipment will also be exhibited later this month in Toronto at the Coffee & Tea Show (September 26-27), in collaboration with Patera Marketing Group and in Moscow at PIR Hospitality Industry Show (September 26-27 , in collaboration with Gourmet Style.

OUT OF THE BOX SF(ish)

Back in April, we had mentioned that we will be hosting an OUT OF THE BOX event in SF around September. Well, time sure does fly. Due to a variety of factors – including finding an appropriate venue and our attendance of Coffee Fest in October – we have decided to move the event to January 2011:

Activities will be similar to (and also more extensive than) OUT OF THE BOX NYC. As we work to work out the details, please stay tuned for future updates.
